Task: take a resource you really like and find multi-modes of text, forming a short collection.

Theme: Persuasive Writing
Big Idea: Read the book with students and have them research a crayon colour not mentioned in the book. Then have students write a persuasive letter to Duncan about why that colour is quitting. Have students type up their letter in the form of an email or text message.
